Nick B’s Second Time In The Studio
I've been twice, and both times have been a blast. It's so fun to play with the inks and paper, and just see what happens. Sometimes I'd get nervous that what I was making wasn't very nice looking, but Jessica was incredibly encouraging (she'd notice little details and get very excited) and also offered practical things I could do to make it look better. In the end, I have a couple of amazing pieces of art that I can't wait to hang on my wall. It's incredibly affordable for a date or night with friends... and way more unique than one of those wine and paint studios! :)
Ruthely And Her Girls
My name is Ruthely Escobar. I’m a homeschool mom of two girls. We are new to the city and I wanted my girls to do something fun and beautiful together and to decorate our new house with. Project Joy was the perfect thing for us to do. Joy is truly a joy to be with, she is funny, sweet, attentive and she was so patient with my girls. They thought she was the best. They love the pieces of art they created and are so proud of their accomplishment. Thank you Joy for being wonderful and for your time with us.

Kaytee - I definitely recommend Jessica's workshops. They are great for anyone whether they are a confident artist, or someone who has never felt like they could create something visually beautiful. Jessica will teach you the art of letting go, literally going with the flow, and help you create something beautiful. It's really fun to just relax and play with water, ink, and materials as though you were a kindergartner at the water table, and end up with a piece of art that looks like it was made by a professional artist!
Max - I have been to a few workshops at Jessica's studio. And they have each been inspiring. Jessica has a unique gift for helping people unlock their creative potential and enabling them to create something beautiful while having a wonderful time.
“The vibe at each session was a bit different - one was giddy and full of energy, one was more contemplative and meditative. Each session has provided a range of feelings, but they have all been joyful and creative. And it makes me want to go back for more!
I have never seen anything like the unique color flow style she has developed. It enables anyone to create something beautiful. It’s fun to play with the ink and use materials she has in the studio - or bring in some of my own! Then she will send photos of the dried pieces, it’s definitely something to look forward to!

“I’ve attended two of JJL’s workshops and have really enjoyed them both. The first time, my four-year-old daughter was with me and she was *totally* into it. Jessica did a great job providing guidance for my daughter while still allowing her individual creative process evolve. The second time, I brought my friend and we had a great time creating our pieces while chit-chatting with the other attendees. The atmosphere was very welcoming, open, and encouraging. My friend, who does not think she is very creative or artistic, ended up really getting into the process and letting her creativity emerge. I think she surprised herself. I picked up my pieces a few days later and now they are framed and hanging in my living room! Yay art!

“This was so much more amazing than I ever expected it to be! I made the reservation for my boyfriend and I as an early birthday gift and we had such a perfect time! Jessica was beyond wonderful! The studio is inviting and calming and the practice is so thoughtful and therapeutic! I wouldn’t have changed a single thing other than wanting more time! We were able to create so many wonderful pieces and we could have stayed all day!
