Corporate & Private Workshops
We have worked with the Philly Business Journal, CHOP, Penn Museum, Temple Health, The Franklin Institute, Glenmede, Bloom Daily Planners, URBN, Azavea, and many other corporate and non-proft groups to bring them a unique experience and we would love to do the same for you!
What: Nature painting with museum exhibited artist! Hi, I’m Joy and I would love to share the process I invented to make the paintings I show in galleries and museums. Each person on your team will make colorful puddles, put leaves, flowers, and other materials in the puddles, and then let them evaporate. The next day you get to peel some of the materials off and see the details left behind from the veins of the leaves, the flower petals, and all the other materials you will get to experiment with!

Our workshop with the Fitler Club
Our workshop during cherry blossom season.
Why: Connection, Fun and Stress Relief! We know so many of you are working remotely and having fun together is pivotal in building trusting relationships at work. Also, let’s face it, so many people are stressed from trying to balance it all. Our experience is guaranteed to provide you with a playful way to destress. One of our recent attendees said she “didn’t know how much she needed this”!

Where: We can come to you, you can come to the studio centrally located in Philly, or we can send out kits with all the materials you will need to do a virtual workshop. Fear not, this process is not as messy as it seems, but it is much more fun than I can manage to capture in a photograph. If you would like to read testimonials please scroll to the bottom of this page.
Time: Workshops are 2 hours long and need to take place in a room where the paintings can sit overnight to dry.
Booking: Please book your workshop in the calendar below. If you want to schedule a zoom call to discuss the needs of your group first, please click here and I would be so happy to walk you through all the options.
Cost: Rates vary based on events. Contact me for a discovery call!
If you are looking for an all day experience, Project Joy is connected with a glass blower and printmaker in my studio building and we can design a very unique experience for your team.
About my Process
I created this process which I call a colorful meditation process to help me with my own wellbeing and joy. The playful yet relaxing process of watching the puddles of color flow and move around on the paper pulls the participant out of the worrisome future and into the present to a place where they are free to explore without expectations. The process is grounding and at the same time lifts the worries of everyday life. I also do not use brushes in this process because I find that a brush introduces expectations of knowing what you want to create before you create it. I have spoken to so many people who have told me that they want to make art, but they just don't know what to make. My process alleviates that stress because it promotes playful experimentation that many haven't been able to do since they were a kid. I love doing these workshops as a large group because we will all be jumping into the unknown together. I have also done large pieces in my studio with 47 kids working on one giant piece and it is so wonderful to see what many can create together when they let go. Letting go is the key to creating successful outcomes, and I tell my participants that the more you let go, the more possibilities will present themselves to you and the better the painting will turn out! I also say, "if you can spill milk you can create a beautiful piece of art with Project Joy" to help everybody know that they can do this so nobody gives up before they start!

Play and Possibilities - The process I teach bring out the playful part of yourself that has probably been hidden away for a long time. When you play without expectations you will be open to seeing a greater breadth of possibilities!

Testimonials
“What a wonderful experience! Jessica was very easy to communicate with in the planning of our workshop. She gave us options and recommendations which ended up being the perfect workshop to meet our groups interest, time, and financial needs. The time spent in the studio was AMAZING! I was originally concerned the men in our group may not enjoy it as much as the females, but they all loved experimenting with Jessica’s process. We all did not want to leave! Jessica’s art is beautifully stunning, I’m so grateful she has decided to share her process and her JOY with us. I will definitely be booking another group workshop with more friends, family and my kids! I’m already thinking about what colors and techniques I am going to experiment with on my next visit to Project Joy Studio. Thank you Jessica!”

“Project Joy is amazing, and perfectly named. I was admittedly skeptical going into the experience as I don’t think I have an artistic bone in my body, but Jessica is genuine and passionate about the art she is sharing and her process is fun and easy to follow. Great vibes, very cool art, we will definitely be back!”

“We here at Bloom Planners met Jessica Joy back in the summer of 2018 and we just fell in love with her as a person and an artist. Jessica Joy has an amazing energy and spirit. We were invited to come to her studio for a company workshop and we had such an amazing time with her. Whether you were a beginner or an experienced artist, the Project Joy Workshop was an opportunity to try new things and engage with each other as coworkers and friends. She was open to questions and teaching us all about the different paints and tools we were using. At the end of the class we all learned something new! It was so exciting getting our finished pieces from her a few days later after they dried so we could do our final reveals! We even ended up using one of our co-workers pieces as a planner cover! Bloom would recommend the Project Joy Workshop for any company looking for a fun bonding experience and to walk away with some beautiful pieces!”

“I helped organize a color flow workshop with Jessica Joy London for my team at work. It was a lot of fun and a great opportunity to spend time with my colleagues out of work in a unique setting. I loved seeing what everyone created and some of us even hung it up in the office after!”
