Bring your family or group together in a one-of-a-kind, joyful workshop where you’ll create a beautiful piece of art to treasure for a lifetime. Our sessions are designed to spark creativity and connection for every family member—from the youngest to the oldest. Held in a welcoming, stress-free environment, these workshops offer a chance to relax, laugh, and explore creativity together. No prior art experience is needed; our process is easy, engaging, and fun for all skill levels. Families have told us that this was the only activity where everyone truly had an amazing time, creating lasting memories, deepening bonds, and producing a meaningful keepsake that will remind them of this special experience for years to come.
Step 1
To prepare for creating a beautiful, collaborative family painting, each family member begins by selecting their favorite colors and experimenting with them in individual practice paintings. This lets everyone take home their own unique artwork, ease into this exciting new art process, explore their favorite color combinations, and most importantly, discover just how fun and effortless puddle painting can be!
Step 2
The next step is what makes the magic happen! Once you've created a vibrant, colorful puddle, it’s time to add unique materials to make your painting truly special. Feel free to explore our materials bar or bring your own personal items for a meaningful touch. Families have added keepsakes like keys from every home they've lived in, hospital bracelets from newborns, mini LOVE sculptures, and much more—making each artwork a one-of-a-kind treasure filled with memories.
Step 3
After you create both your individual paintings and your large family painting it is time to let the paintings dry! This is when natural phenomena takes over and does all the hard work so you only have to worry about doing the fun parts! Paintings can take anywhere from 1 day to a week to dry, but don’t worry we can store your paintings until you can conveniently come back to discover all the magical details that formed! Families are often very excited to return to see the transformation that took place!
Step 4
Now you get to discover the magic that happened! Your painting is dry and you get to peel up all the materials and discover the beautiful details that formed! I call this the Joy of Discovery!
Watch this video of the Duarte family as they peel off their materials! This painting was made with grandma, grandpa, their two adult children and their son-in-law. They said this was the first time grandpa actually participated in a creative family activity!

Step 5
Are you worried that you won’t like your paintings? Most families tell us they thought their kids were too wild and that their painting wasn’t going to turn out well. The truth is that some large paintings don’t work as large paintings, and I promise it won’t be because your kids don’t want the puddle painting to end, but that is what step 5 is all about!
After all your materials are peeled off I will help you use viewfinders to find the most beautiful details in your paintings! Then you have the choice to have me cut your beautiful paintings out with my laser cutter and mount them for you or you can take your painting and hang it as soon as you get home with the almost invisible magnetic thumb tack hanging system that I provide you with.

The cost of a family experience covers 4 people. If you have a beautiful large family each person in addition to the first 4 are just $10 per person!

All ages are welcomed! We have even had 18 month olds participate in a family workshop! The baby had a blast and got all messy and the painting turned out amazing. The family was truly surprised!

It typically takes about a week!
It depends on the time of year and the temperature in the studio and how deep of a puddle you created.
I will text you periodically while it is drying to give your family exciting picture updates!
