Jessica Joy London has a passion for helping others experience the benefits of bringing creativity into their lives because making art saved hers.
I was hospitalized over 50 times as a child and also lived through a very traumatic childhood. Making art helped me stay connected with who I really was during times when everyone's actions were telling me I wasn't worthy of love. Drawing and painting was essential in helping me process what I was going through and developing my imagination. When I was 'in the clouds' I was imagining and planning a better life for myself, which I am happy to say is the life I am living now. My creative skills that I developed empowered me and fortified me with the courage and resilience to move forward on a positive path.
I believe that no matter where you are in life, engaging in the creative process can give you the power to connect with yourself to understand your true purpose and gives you the courage to make difficult decisions in order to live that purpose. The power creating gives you is not easy to understand until you feel it for yourself. Ask any artist and they will gladly tell you that making is what nourishes their soul and centers them. I believe we are all capable of creating, artist or not, and I have been developing techniques that will give you an incredibly easy way to start making gallery worthy art from the start.
